Dr. Carolyn Kittell was born and raised in Laguna Beach, California. She was an avid volleyball player and attended the Univerisity of Oklahoma with a full athletic scholarship. During this time, she received her Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration.
Following in her father’s footsteps, she began her career in dentistry by acquiring her Bachelor’s of Science degree in Dental Hygiene. After practicing as a dental hygienist for 5 years, she continued on to receive her Doctor of Dental Surgery all from the University of Oklahoma College of Dentistry.
An Educator...
Dr. Kittell is passionate about teaching and spreading her knowledge to fellow dentists across the country on topics such as cosmetic and digital dentistry.
Lecturing to her colleagues has enhanced her passion for dentistry as she enjoys collaborating and continuing to research cutting-edge techniques. This allows Dr. Kittell to bring the most current treatments to her patients at smile essentials.

Dr. Kittell is a strong believer in PROFESSIONAL continuing education. Staying on the forefront of technology and restorative techniques is a core value for her
practice. She is an active Faculty Club Member at Spear Education and a member of: American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, Pierre Fauchard Academy, Colorado Dental Association, American Dental Association and Metro Denver Dental Society.
DR. KITTELL has created a state-of-the-art, in-house dental lab. Dr. Kittell is involved in every step of the design and fabrication process. This ensures that her esthetic and functional vision is best in class for her individual patients.

On the Personal side...
Dr. Kittell enjoys spending time with her Husband, Andy, along with her dogs birdie and Louie. Carolyn and Andy enjoy traveling internationally, the outdoors, good food,
and learning about art and culture. Andy is a professional photographer and they enjoy seeing life through the lens, together.
