Gingivectomy "Gum-Lift"

POST-OPERATIVE INSTRUCTIONS

No smoking for at least 48 hours after your procedure.

Avoid crunchy, spicy, acidic, very hot/cold foods and liquids for 48 hours after your procedure.

Soreness, swelling, or bruising around injection site may occur.

Gums can be sore or tender. Warm and gentle salt water swishes (up to 3x a day) can help accelerate healing and soothe them.

You may return to your regular brushing and flossing routine once the soreness has subsided. In the meantime, please be particularly gentle around the area of the gingivectomy.

If you experience gum discomfort, you may take OTC medication such as Ibuprofen and/or Tylenol for pain management.
